CFSRC is pleased to announce that the formal agreement between Virginia Polytechnic and State University (VT) and the Johns Hopkins University (JHU) for their mutual participation in the CFSRC has been formalized. This allows the full capabilities of the CFSRC vision to be enabled between these two universities and their principal investigators: Professors Moen and Schafer. Already work is under way to capitalize on the partnership to improve how we handle system reliability in cold-formed steel structures and how we model cold-formed steel members when faced with dynamic actions and damage. The CFSRC is “growing” and will become “the key resource in cold-formed steel research” says Professor Schafer.
