The University of North Texas (UNT) formally joined the Cold-Formed Steel Research Consortium in October 2014. UNT Principal Investigator Professor Cheng Yu has had long-term collaborations with CFSRC researchers and was already an Affiliated Investigator of the CFSRC. Dr. Yu has worked extensively on cold-formed steel structures including: beams, columns, connections, shear walls, and more. Dr. Yu has a strong record of collaboration amongst the CFSRC researchers and his laboratory brings additional capabilities online for CFSRC. “All of us are excited to formalize what has already been a very successful relationship” says Professor Ben Schafer, Director of the CFSRC.
