CFSRC Colloquium 2022

Cold-Formed Steel Family and Friends,

The Cold-Formed Steel Research Consortium (CFSRC) is inviting researchers to share their latest findings with the global cold-formed steel research community at its 2022 CFSRC Colloquium.

In 2020, CFSRC organized the first ever online colloquium to replace, in part, the lost collaboration from the pandemic and the completion of the long running Center for Cold-Formed Steel Structures (CCFSS) International Specialty Conference. With 110 concurrent attendees from 15 time zones and 51 papers and talks, the global online Colloquium exceeded expectations providing a unique forum for sharing and learning about the latest research and innovations in cold-formed steel structures. The Colloquium was delivered in four main sessions with concurrent conversations, messaging, and a central blog in a dedicated Slack site. Attendees were able to listen and see the latest research, click through on the program to the accompanying paper, and contribute in real time to the ongoing conversations.

CFSRC is pleased to announce that the Colloquium will be a biennial event happening every October, continuing the tradition of the CCFSS Specialty Conference. The next Colloquium is scheduled for 17-19 October, 2022. The deadline for the abstract submission is 1 May 2022 and accepted papers will be announced by 1 June 2022. Final papers will be due on 1 September 2022.

The Colloquium will provide full online proceedings. The online sessions will be aligned with different times of the day to accommodate our global participants from different time zones (roughly New York, London, and Beijing time). Presentations will be recorded and available to Colloquium participants, for a limited time after the Colloquium, to accommodate the many different time zones of the participants. We encourage all researchers to submit their ideas for a talk, and accompanying papers, for the colloquium here:
